The Church Of Christ
Most denominational bodies fol-
low a creed book in order to de-
termine what their fath and prac-
tice should be, but is a crem
necessary? First, any crecti
which contains more thnn the
Bible, is to be objected to, simply
because it docs contain more
than the Bible (2 John 9.) Second,
any creed containing less than
the Bible is objectionable be-
cause it docs contain less than
the Bible (2 Tim. 3: 16-17).
Third, any creed differing from
the Bible is objectionable be-
cause it differs from the Bible
(Gal. 1-8).Fourth, any creed pre-
cisely like the Bible is useless
because we have the Bible.
What other grouping can a creed
fall into'.' It must cither contain
more or less than the Bible, or
differ from or be like the Bible.
No man will defend his creed on
any of these grounds, so on what
grounds may they be defended?
Does your church have a creed?
Can you defend it?
