has given me his promise to go on with me, and as soon as I
possibly can, you may expect to see me, my mind is fixed and
determined on it;
Henery Bates the Youngest Son of Elias Bates, was
married this winter to a very Prttty and Amiable girl, Henery
is a very fine Young Man, you would be very much pleased with
him, I have been urging his Father who is (now hear) to semd
him on, he has not embarked in any buisAess in perticular, but
intends to be a Merchant, if he j&ould only be induced to go on
it would be very much to his advantage, and if Henery was to go
Adeline, with her little Daughter; would accompany them you
would find in her a kind and affectionate Friend, and Relation,
I am anxious that they shoud go, as well for their sakes as for
yours Elias could remain and settle his buisness and then
join his Children, Woodson I think with a little perswasion,
would go; if you had them settled near you you would still feal
a desire to exert yourself and live, you would not feal, as if
you were a solatary being in the world—Co^ Thomas F Redick is
no more, he Died lust month at the Sulpher Springs, Jefferson
Cong* where he has resided, for the last two year. Honey
has the settling of his buisness, Redick has five Children,
t&* Daughters that are grown, and very beautifullGirels, Vir-
ginia, the eldest, is the Picture of her Aunt Hulda C*rr, who
I have do doubt you still remember;—Judge Carr was Married this
