Are the colors of the rainbow separate? Do
they blend?
An artist's color wheel is based on the spectrum of
colors in the rainbow.
Like the colors in a prism...when light
passes through it.
What colors do you get if you mix 2 colors?
Red & Blue
Blue & Yellow
Yellow & Red
Blue & Green
Red & Purple
How do these colors make you feel? Some are
hot.. .Some are cold .. .Some are restful ... Some
are busy...
Notice the colors in all the pieces in the ex-
hibit. See how the artist makes you feel about the
subject and his ideas.
How do the reflections of the sculpture look in the
mirror? Does it seem to change in the multiple mir-
rors?
How would you feel if you saw it against a
plain wall?
How would it be ten times as big? Would you
like it smaller or larger?
Give the sculpture a name or title. See if that
makes you look at it in a different way.
Change the colored lights in the color mixing
box. How many colors can you make? Is there a
limit?
When you are outdoors, notice how the time
of day and different light can affect the colors of
the things around you.

Draw the things you see.
They are all lines.
The first time you see anything, you see it in
straight, curved, connected, or unconnected lines.
Artists love outline. Try drawing the sculpture
here... Nature comes in outlines...leaves, grass,
shells, flowers. feathers, fur, trees... all patterns
and combinations of lines.
