Obituary
"As for me, I am already being poured out as a libation, and the
time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I
have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there
is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord,
the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me
but also to all who have longed for his appearing."
(2 Timothy 4:6-8 NRSV)
Charles Joseph Revado, Jr. was born November 15, 1953, to the
union of Mary Lea! and Charles Joseph Revado, Sr. in Kerrville,
Texas. Both parents and one sister, Patricia Duncan, preceded
him in death. He departed this life on September 1. 2000.
Charles was baptized at a young age at the Brooksdale Baptist
Church in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Sam Houston High
School. His family and friends were a great joy.
Charles leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory, both
loving grandmothers Madolyn Ezell and Anna Revado; three
sisters, Lalita Garcia, Madolyn Johnson and her husband Lonnie,
Jr., and Cornell Haygood; three brothers, Ralph Revado and his
wife Terri, Marvin Leal, and Andre Haygood all of San Antonio;
aunts, Louise Sowers and her husband Randy, Patricia Pickett
and her husband James, Lalita White, Barbara Garrett and
Beatrice Leal; Thomas Nicholas an uncle; and a host of
extended family and friends.
