We can grin and bear it when Texas
beats us. but beat A. and M. if it is
the last thtdg you do.
Among other thtngs I want informa-
tion on a couple of things. First: To
whom do i write about getting an an-
nua!? What is the price, etc.! Sec-
ond: in the copy of The Thresher that
I received comment was made on the
"recent aaie of Rice to Houaton." I
took it that that referred to some
scheme you had worked out to arouae
the spirit of interest and co-operation
among the people of Houston. The
idea sounded more than good and I
surely hope that the results continued
to be as good as the squib in the paper
seemed to think they ha# started. We
are wanting to do something of the
same kind with our high school here
and 1 wonder if you would tell me
something of your method of proced-
ure, what was done and said. etc. I
certainly wilt be very grateful.
1 have acquired another degree since
I left Rice, that of B. S. in Education
from the Kansas State Norma! College,
but somehow 1 can't look on that
schoot with great affection, but when I
think or speak of "my" university, it
is aiways Rice. And just as the old
Rice beit and the Senior class ring
stay by me atways, so do the memories
of and affection for the finest school
in the country. Let me hear a!) the
news. Cordiatty, R. M. RILEY.
