TORS AT FAIR
BRING HOME BACON IN THE
ATLETIC CONTESTS HELD
DALLAS.
The tumbling team tumbled their
way to victory in all events entered at
the State Fair held in DaiiaB two
weeks ago. The sextet's tumbling was
so good that they romped away from
the northern city with several first
prizes tucked safely under their tights.
Their determination to secure the
two large trophies this year matured
when the officials a warned them with
first prize both in tumbling and ath-
letic events. Last year the squad an-
nexed first place in tumbling but had
to be content In sharing first prize in
athletic events with another team.
The team has made rapid progress
since its organization here three years
ago. Their endeavors to put Rice on
the map in an acrobatic way has met
with much success and Coach Ash-
eraft along with his men should be
complimented on their attempt to give
to Rice something novel in the way of
athletics.
