Here is a group of husky sopho-
more linemen and backfield stars.
The Owls this year are rated as the
dark horses of the conference be-
cause of a large group of seventeen
lettermen plus the reinforcement of
one of the finest groups of sopho
mores in the school's history. Jimmy
Kitts says that "as the sophomores
go, so go the Owls." Ernie Lain,
passing and running star of the 1936
frosh team, is shown about to heave
one on the left.
