Beauties, beauties, everywhere and
we know 'em. SAM CRUSE and his
money bagger, MACE, have a great
secret whttth ts out generally, meaning
the beauts, pulchritude of Rice. The
Thresher and The Owl will doubtless
collaborate on an expose if the ungod-
ly tax placed on their heads by the
Campanile for space for their staff is
nut lifted. This is not blackmail, threat
or compulsion. Only a friendly hint.
Spring, the eternal love-bug seems,
to have taken a hunk out of JENNY
STEPHENSON for the sophmoric gen-
tleman CLAUDE MAER. BETTY BEN-
NETT might take note.
Aw thrr peculiar incident to greet
our flapping ears is a certain parental
observation held In front of the GART-
NER'S house one evening. This story
has a two month growth. But the big
1 word is Hey George to any of the fol-
lowing: parties, BETTY G., EMILY,
FRANK G. or H. ARTHUR.
The tireless freshmen, BOYD and
BOGAR, after having successfully
waded through polities now are wad
ing after the officers and
their rudimentary class.

KIRBY: Walking Down
Broadway 1
A sextet of up-and-coming young
Hollywood stars appear in 'Walking
Down Broadway," the 20th Century-
Fox picture beginning a three-day run
at the Kirby Theatre Saturday.
Claire Trevor, Phyllis Brooks, Leah
Ray, Dixie Dunbar, Lymm Bari and
Jayne Reagan are the beauteous young
ladies who live in New York "on tho
shadowy sidestroets off Broadway."
The girls are trying to live for things
that other girls only long for.
Michael Wlialen, Tom Beck, Douglas
Fowley, Walter Woolf King, and Jed
Prouty appear as the male leads.
Joan Carol, six year old child ac-
tress, appears as the ward of the six
girls. In the picture she is the flaxen-
haired and dimpled daughter of Leah
Ray. ||||
The picture is fair entertainment-
just what one might judge from the
cast and the type of picture.
