Another Wants to Bring Jo Jo to Class
Dear Miss Space:
I've been thinking very seriously
lately of asking a certain Rice girl
to many me. Will you advise me on
this matter.
AMORUS.
Dear AMORUS:
Really, sir, your letter gives me
little to work with. About the only
thing I can make out is that you're
amorous, and I assume that the
young lady in question has some-
thing to do with your feeling.
I am puzzled at your seeming un-

certainty about marrying a Rice
girl, and thus becoming one of the
happiest of men. As you and all
other men of discernment know, our
co-eds combine beauty, intelligence
and personality in superlative de-
grees. Assuming you have some
hopes of the lady's (for all Rice girls
are ladies) saying "yes," 1 would
advise you to pop the question as
soon as possible, thereby eliminating
the large competition which is bound
to exist.

"Purity Pursued, or, like the
Snow, She Too Drifted," a melo-
drama in the tradition of the Gay
Nineties, was presented by the
EBLS Wednesday night in the Var-
sity room of the College Inn.
The play, reviving an old KB
tradition, discontinued for the past
three years, featured the props
common to melodramas, including
scenes in the corner saloon, a quar-
tet of bartenders and a bevy of
beautiful belles. There were three
choruses; a can-can, the singing
bartenders, and a chorus by the
"SOTS, (Swear off the stuffi".
The heroine of the play, Purity
Good, was played by Marthan
Moore; the hero, Jonathan Strong-
heart, by Elleanor Graham; and
Betty Fay Grouse took the part, of
the villain, Mortimer Frothinghum.
Betty Cheatham played the vamp,
Lydia Lush,
Tempo Ilowze was the writer, di-
rector and producer of the play,
which was followed by dancing in
the Varsity room to T.KMcodec
music.
