Naval Officers to Interview Prospects
Lt. Commander Ralph Schneeloch
and Lt. James Tout from the Office
of Naval Officer Procurement in
Dallas will be on the campus Tues-
day and Wednesday to interview
students interested in obtaining a
commission in either the Regular
Navy or Naval Reserve. The men
are primarily interested in men for
flight training, but they will have
with them information concerning
all existing programs for commis-
sions open in the Navy, including
the WAVES.
Both of the interviewing officers
have seen service during the war.
Lt. Tout was a landing signal offi-
cer on the Enterprise and served in
every major offensive battle except
one when the Enterprise was out
of commission. Lt. Commander
Schneeloch served in the amphibious
forces.
The interviews will be conducted
through the facilities of the Place-
ment Service and will be made by
appointment only.

... Lit Initiates
The Owen Wister Literary So-
ciety held the mock and formal in-
itiations at Camp Tejas of 15 new
members Thursday afternoon and
evening during the Easter Holidays.
The mock initiations in the after-
noon was followed by a formal din-
ner and the formal initiation. Bridge
and charades and a midnight snack
followed.
... Junior Class
There will be a meeting of the
Junior class in room 110 Anderson
Hall at noon Tuesday. Business for
the day has been announced as
plans for the class picnic.
... Tut tie to Talk
Dr. L. D. Tuttle, a practicing phy-
sician and surgeon in Houston, will
speak to the M.S.F. next Tuesday.
His subject will be in line with a
series of talks on Christian voca-
tions.
For the meeting to be held May
3 Mr. Latimer Murfee will be the
speaker. Mr. Murfee is a Houston
lawyer.
Varsity Baseball
Team Returns Home
The varsity baseball team return-
ed home this week for a game with
the league-leading Texas Longhorns
this afternoon in Buff Stadium at
3:00 o'clock. Admission for the game
will be $.60, but Blanket Taxes will
be accepted.
Starting battery for the Owls will
be Bill Bishop on the mound with
Willard behind the plate. Texas will
start with Dan Watson catching,
and either Frank Womack, Murry
Wall, Charley Gorin, or Jim Ehrler
pitching.

ideally adapted for .use by small
groups such as language classes for
listening to foreign language rec-
ords.
