NO GLUM GAMES IN
FEMININE SOFTBALL
By JERRY PITTMAN
Feminine Softball is hilarious!
I guess! That is they . . . play
some games. For example: the
MELLS beat the CRLS 12-10 in
as close a game as ever I missed.
The OKLS forfeited to the
OWLS and EBLS. (Do the OWLS
even have a team? I know they
have an owl!) On May 2, the
OWLS were pitted against the
EBLS. The SLLS met the
MELLS on Tuesday, April 30.
Meanwhile, back or up to May
2, the SLLS took on the CRLS.
In the Badminton Mixed
Doubles Tournament, Bearden
and Holtz have won their league
with a spotless, record (in losses
i.e.). In their last bout they had
15-4, 11-15, 15-7. Bearden and
Holtz will now meet Emily Jor-
don and Russell Gibbs for the
Crown.

Unhelpful
The rains are not helping the
softball tournament as far as
completing it is concerned. How-
ever, the Outlaws and Athletics
Anonymous will harvest their rice
crop before playing on the South

Tejml Paces Owls
In Win Over Ags
Emii Tejml wasted no time in
setting the Texas Aggies down
Friday as he allowed the Farmers
four scattered hits. His opponent,
Djgk Munday, was just as effec-
tive in giving up only three
blows, none of which figured in
the scoring.
The big play of the game came
in the second inning when Tim
Staples did a heads-up job of
hiaserunning, advancing from
first to third on Bob Burns' sac-
rifice. Staples scored on Jerry
Sims' sacrifice fly to right field
for the only run of the game.
Munday had a no-hitter going
day, May 2, at 4:30. The Outlaws
have the title tucked under their
belt at present. It will be inter-
esting to see if big Kirby Pickett,
ltd., can bust Freddie Russell's
monopoly of the mound. The AA
reached the finals by taking their
league. In their last game they
cooled the No Name Nine 10-1.
The Outlaws took the semi-finals
4-3 from the Chevron.
for 5 2/3 innings before Bob
Burns lined a shot to left field.
Billy Arhos followed up with a
single to left center, but a pop up
killed the threat.
Both pitchers showed fine con-
trol, as Munday walked three'
and Tejml only two.
