Here they are . . . the litty
quotas ... as well as we can
ascertain: this doesn't include
rondeblat because all the infor-
mation was hidden . . . also we
only counted each person once
which cut down the numbers be
cause some girls hold thirteen
offices.

THE TAREYTON
RING
MARKS THE
REAL THING
Here's why Tareyton's Dual Filter
filters as no single filter can:
1. It combines an efficient pure white outer
filter...
2. with a unique inner filter of activated
charcoal ... which has been definitely
proved to make the smoke of a cigarette
milder and smoother.
THE REAL THING IN MILDNESS.. .THE REAL THING IN FINE TOBACCO TASTE!
Lesson for today: In a few short months, New Dual Filter Tareytons have
become a big favorite on U.S. campuses. For further references, see your
a
campus smoke shop.

DUAL FILTER
CONEY
"Slander!"
The ratio was 2: 3: 3: 8 .
we have been bribed by the lits
concerned not to say who is who
or which is which so you guess.
It's intuituvely obvious that one
of them is one giant political
caucus . . . wheee! Slander!
Thanks!
In an exclusive interview with
the winners this was said over
and over: "I got my experience
smiling during rush. I wish to
thank all those people who voted
for me thinking I was sincere."
Because
34 . . . THIRTY FOUR . . .
days left. Happy carefree days
in which to watch people getting
kicked out of their new offices
because the administration, or
the student council, or a little
greyheaded lady or your room-
mate said because.
Willene!
Flash the administration has
come through! !
They have announced the new
housemother for Jones south . . .
WILLENE! All the drinking
fountains will be supplied by
kegs! Also, in order not to in-
convenience Willene, the Jones
commons is being converted to
Kay's featuring such delicacies
beer-soaked golf-ball eggs,
pasted beer sandwiches, beer-
berry muffins and spinach! The
outside landscaping is to be
changed too. All those scrubby
little hedges and flowers are to
be replaced by imported Bavarian
Busches ... to the busches!
The Word
We got the word on most cam-
pus productions: Cast of one, di-
rected by thousands.
Dear "I want to be Maid at
Rondelet'ers (girls Only): do you
hear all your Lamar girl fi-iends
murmuring about the gorgeous
new gownless evening strap they
will wear to Ronderetch . .
while you haven't even been ask-
ed ? ? Maybe if you'd try a man's
deodorant . . .
BAYLOR TAKES
GOLF MATCH
Rice's golf team took it on
the nose Monday as they went
down to defeat 6-0 at the hands
of Baylor at the Champions Golf
Club here in Houston. Captain
Brooks Godfrey led the Owls with
a fine 18 hole total of 73.
The next conference action for
the Owls will be this afternoon
whe they encounter the Texas
Aggies in both varsity and fresh-
man matches.
THRESHING...
(Continued from Page 4)
a person out of office if he goes
on probation only for a small
part of it was illogical and un-
necessary, and that the only rea-
son we had such a procedure was
that no one happened to think
of a case like this when the
vacancy by-law was drawn up (I
have pretty good information
here since I drew it up). There-
fore at the beginning of the next
week's Council meeting I moved
to amend the regular procedure
in the by-laws so that any per-
son going on probation for less
than half of a semester would
automatically re-succeed to that
office at the beginning of the
following semester.
THIS MOTION died for lack
of a second. Being somewhot sur-
prised, to say the least, I in-
quired if this meant that every-
one thought the present regular
procedure was a good one. No
statement were ever given to the
contrary, so I assume that 26/27
of the Council feels that if any-
one goes on probation for a small
part of his term he should lose
office for the whole term.
9. WALDMAN MOVED to res-
cind last week's motion establish-
ing an election. Neither he nor
anyone else ever stated why
they thought this was a special
case, in the light of the fact that
they liked the regular procedure.
Eventually the motion failed.
10. A PETITION calling for a
referendum on the establishing
of an election was presented. The
referendum will be held on
Thursday, April 30. If it passes,
the election will be cancelled; if
it fails, the election will be held
the following day
