Jn the meantime I would call the attention of millers
to the water facilities of Hopewell creek, which passes
through the village, and at a short distance from its
mouth there is a beautiful deep lake, fed by iunume-
r able springs, whose aides and bottom are of solid
r ock. This lake which l« known as "the blue hola,'
M ill afford, even in the driest times, water sufficient to
run an engine of over tme thousand horse power.
Off of tills tract has already been sold several fine
farms. Valley farm, owned by James C. Frazier H£q.;
Hill-side farm, occupied by Green Biftle Km,; Marlbo-
rough Urcou, cultivated by James Small; together
with the farms of A. R. Irvin. Thomas L. Greer a*id
Parson (Till, and that splendid farm owned by Richard
B. Kimball Esq., of New York, on which there are over
250 acres of land in cultivation, and contracts have
been made to put into cultivation this summer over
500 acres ; all which farms will snow the productive
