Mrs. J. V. Ash entertained with i
dinner Tuesday evening in the Stale
Park Refectory honoring Miss Ann
Morris and Miss Margaret Powell,
members of the Bastrop High School
Graduating Class.
Miss Moiris and Miss Powell
greeted their guests seated at eith-
«r end of a long walnut tabli in the
.<«*uth alcove, and each guest wrote
a greeting in their memory books.
The table was centered with a huge
bowl of jvhite rose sand candy tuf:,
embanked with mock orange blos-
soms, created a lovely background.
Here the guests were served to-
mato juice cocktail, after which they
were invited to find their places nt
a long, beautifully laid table, center-
ing the dining hall. Blue bonnets >n
a crystal bowl formed a centerpiece,
and white candles in crystal candel-
bra lighted th« table. Near either
end. single white tapers, embanke.l
with blue bonnets, burned. A dainty-
white card, bearing a spray of blue
bonnets, marked each place.
The dinner menu consisted of con-
gealed fruit salad, creamed chicken
in patty shells, string beans, parsley-
ed potatoes, stuffed celery, hot roll*,
iced tea, angel food take and ice
cream.

tive decoration of the long room was
