scene of a bridge luncheon Thursday
morning when Mrs. Roy E. Set-katz
entertained n honor of her sister,
Miss Ethel Cartwright of Bastrop,
who will be married to Robert. War.

TAKES PLACE MONDAY
Miss Ethel D Cartwright. daugh-
ter of Sheriff and Mrs. E. I). Cart-
wright , became the bride of Robert
Warren Higgins, in a quiet ceremony
at the Calvary Episcopal Church
Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock.
Rev. John P. Phillips, rector, of-
ficiated for the impressive ring ser-
vice. Mrs. T. P. Hayriie, Sr.. was at
the organ, and Mrs. Frank W Den.
ison sang "I Ix ve You Truly" as the
nuptial solo.
The altar was banked with ferns,
with an arrangement of white glad-
oli and white. yellow, and orchid
chrysanthemums in white floor bas j
ket.s on either side. White tapers,
burning in white floor candelabra |
lighted the lovely scene.
Mrs. Roy Seekatz of Austin, sis-
ter of th" bride, was matron of hon-
or. She wore fort st green, with
hown accessories and a corsage of
cattleya orchids. Ordell Sanders -er-
ved as best man to the groom.
The bride was given in marriag
by her father. She was dressed in
black velvet, with a -imulaUd yoke
