The City of Hastrop has gone over
her quota of $5,000. with a total of
$5,675.71. Reports from Elgin Tues-
day night gave $3,115.11 a- thi am-
ount of hei contribution, and from
Smithville the sum of $.'i,7K3.42. The
Cedar Creek community ha.s turned
in $1-11.00, topping their quota.
All name- of contributors from lasr
week's list were not published due
to lack of space and time and per-
haps the same thing might occur
this week, but the entire list will be
completed with next week's issue.

A call meeting was held at the
| Chamber of Commerce Office on
March 23rd for the purpose of hear-
ing Committee reports on Locker
Plant Refrigeration boxes rented.
Due to the rainy wether, however the
Commit'pes had been unable to get
their drive under Way, and these re-
ports were postponed until tin next
regular meeting.

Club Meeting
At a regular meeting of the
Club last Tuesday evening,
(•raves, local Scout master presented
a charter of Boy Scouts I'roop 1X5 to
the members, their sponsor, and sev-
eral Scouts were in attendance to tell
something of their activities.

E L. Corson presented a recom-
mendation to the Chamber of Com-
merce that a permanent "Planning
Board" for the City of Hastrop to
appointed immediately by the Has-
trop Chamber of Commerce. A mo-
tion was made, seconded and unani-
mously sustained that thi> suggestion
be carried out.
It was then voted that this tempo-
rary Committee, with E. L. Corson,
Chairman, and Henry Sebesta and
Wm. G. Anthony be appointed the
permanent "Planning Hoard" for the
purpose of making plans for Bastrop
in- in co-ordination with the neighboring
