public urged
not to crowd
fires
Citizens are urged not to bring
their cars within a block of any
fire inside the city limits by J.
S. Milton, City Marshall, who
pointed out that there is a city
ordnance to that effect, which
carries a penalty of a fine of
from $1.00 to $5.00.
The approach and the handling
of the fire truck and the fire
hose can be greatly impeded by
! a crowd, especially by cars crowd-
I ing the streets, and such hind-
| ranee may sometimes result in
a fire reaching disasterous pre-
portions.
