she 'aas a member of Pi Omega
Pi, national honor fraternity for
business teachers, arid of Alpha
Chi, national honor fraternity.
She represented the Bastrop
Chamber of Commerce at the
Alfalfa Fiesta in Hearne; the Bit.--
trop Lions Club at Yoakum for
Splash Day and was duchess from
Bastrop at the Bastrop Homecom-
ing, all in 1950. At present she
is secretary of the Catholic Ladies
Altar Society, secretary-treasurer
of the Bastrop Ladies Choral Club,
and secretary-treasurer of the
X.C.C.W., chairman of publicity.
Mr. Mikeska, son of Mr. and
Mrs. John Mikeska. who was em-
ployed in Taylor before corning to
Bastrop as owner of Mikeska's
Market, is a veteran of World War
II. serving in the European Thea-
tre of operations. He is a member
of the Bastrop Chamber of Com-
merce, Bastrop Lions Club and is
part owner of Mac and Jerry's
Catering Service.
Two baskets of white asters and
white gladioli with fern placed
on the altar and two large beauty
baskets of the same flowers de-
corated the church for the wedding.
Mrs. C. Reginal Taylor of
Taylor sang "Priere, Hlessed Be
This Hay" by Rev. Yvon Saint-
Arnaud, O.M.J., and "Ave Maria"
by Schubert, with C. Reginal
Taylor at the organ a.- accompan-
ist. Mr. Taylor also played the
"Marche Nuptiale" from the Suite
Nuptiale by Allen Caron, a> the
wedding party entered and left
the church.
Miss Margie Wolf, maid of
honor, wore a morning frock of
mauve silk shantung with white
accessories, and carried a semi-

HONORS BRIDE
Mrs. Sam Culp and Mrs. Woodic
Davenport, chief operator and
evening chief operator, respect-
ivly, of the Southwestern Bell
Telephone Company at Elgin, were
hostesses for a dinner and .-hower
honoring Mrs. Howard Bonner,
who before her marriage la.-t week
was Miss Blanche Eustace, chief
operator of the telephone company
at Lockhart. It wa> held at the
refectory in the Ba.-trop State
Park.
The chicken barbecue dinner was
served from the polished T shaped
table. An arrangement of pink and
white gladioli and dwarf zinnias in
a crystal bow! with pink randies in
crystal holders on eithei -ide was
placed at the T of the table. Place
card- were silver baskets holding
two pink mints with miniature
wedding bells attached.
The guest book was designed to
resemble a telephone. The gifts
were presented in a beautifully
decorated box of pink and white.
Guests were the honoree and Mr.
Bonner of Lockhart; Austin Dis-
trict Traffic Superintendent B. G.
Summers, Mrs. Summers ami son,
Danny, Mr. and Mrs. Steinfeh,

The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore an ankle-length
gown of light blue net embroidered
with silver thread in a leaf design,
over blue taffeta, and satin opera
pumps the identical color of her
gown. She wore a white lace tap \eVf
and face veil, ami carried a semi-
eascade bouquet of white roses
and stephanolis and varigated ivy,,
with - a t i ri ribbon streamer?. Her,
only ornaments were a pearl neck- •
lace and a diamond wnstwatch,'
gifts of the groom.
Maurice Mikeska of Georgetown
attended his brother as best man.
I'shers were Rudy Mikeska of
Taylor and John Mikeska of Rich-
land. Washington, also brothers
of the groom.
After the ceremony, a breakfast
was given at the Linenberger
home. The table was laid with a
white linen cloth and centered with
white asters and gladioli. The
white three-tiered wedding cake
embossed with pink roses and
greer. leaves, and topped with a
wedding bell over a miniature bride
ami groom, surrounded by smaller
bells, was placed on a glass re-
flector at one end of the table.
Mrs. Steve Jozwaik and Miss
Valastia Mikeska of Taylor, sis-
ters of the groom, served the cake
and punch.
For her daughter's wedding,
of Bastrop and Mr. Sam Culp of
Elgin.
