Assist Bingo Parties
The ladies Auxiliary of the
American Legion held their re-
gular monthly meeting last week
at the Legion Center, agreeing
to continue their concession
stand in assistance to the Satur-
day night Bingo Parties.
Mrs. Roberta Terry, Concession
chairman for February, will be
assi.-ted by two other members
each Saturday. The Bingo (tame
drew a record crowd la.-t week.
Plans wire made to visit Aus-
tin next month when the Nation-
al Auxiliary President makes a
tour of Texas.
Miss Mary Belle Oldfield re-
ported that one hundred thirty
five magazines had been sent to
the Veteran's Hospital at Tem-
ple. All readable material is to
be sent to her for the next ship
ment.
Committee report# were given.
The group designated twenty five
dollars as their contribution to
the various drives made annually:
the Heart Fund. March of Dimes,
Cancer Fund and the American
Red Cross Drive.
At the conclusion of the busi-
ness session, led by the president.

vices from now until Easter, in
a drive to get as many people
to church us possible, in order
to acquaint them with church ac-
tivities.
Circle members are sending
cookies to McCloskey Veterans
Hospital in Temple this month.
The nomination committee,
composed of Mrs. A. C. Smith.

Combs, will nominate new offi-
cers for the coming year at the
next meeting, and names will be
drawn for the circles for the new
year. The meeting adjourned with

ternoon at the home of Mrs. W.
E. Maynard. In anticipation of
the attendance of the presents

tonio Grand Opera Festival, Mrs.
Maynard, chairman of audience
education, and Mr.-. Young gave
an intere.-ting discussion of the
story and principal characters.

by Mrs. Young.
