Presents Students
In Piano Recital
The C. A. Long homo was the
setting on Sunday afternoon,
December 12, at 4 o'clock, for
an informal piano recital, when
Mrs. F.arnestine Meadow of A us
tin presented her piano studentsj
here in an interesting program j
of music.
In the spacious dimly lighted !
music room, decorated with ar
rangements of gold sequined
glittered magnolia leaves and
white lighted tapers, were seat- ,
ed approximately 75 guests,!
friends and relatives of the stu j
dents.
The drawing room was pay;
with a fuschia trimmed pink
flocked Christmas tree. The re- i
freshment table was covered |
with a floor length glazed cloth, ,
and held a centerpiece of gild-
ed leaves and burning tapers.
Arrangements of white gladiolas
were used at vantage points, and
the solarium held a picture win-
dow display of Christmas greet-
ings. In front of this attractive
display u green laid refreshment
table held a papermache Santy.
Potted azaleas and planters com-
pleted the decor. Parents of
the students presented in the re
cital served as co hosts with
Mrs. Long during the social hour
for the affair.
Mrs. Long welcomed the au-
dience to her home, and intro j
duced Mrs. Meadow.
The recital consisted of a va-
riety of numbers ami selections.
The students made their own
announcements, giving interpre-
tations and stories connected
with the pieces they were to
play.
