Whitworth
Robert Franklin Whitworth,
76, passed away at the P. A.
Orgain Memorial Hospital at
12::i0 noon on Sunday, April 24,
following a lingeung illness.
Funeral services were conduc-
ted on Monday, April 25, at 4
p. m. with the Rev. W. N.
Schulze of the First Methodist
Church officiating. Burial was
in the Watterson Cemetery.
Pall bearers were D. L. Vest,
San Antonio; H. B. Whitworth,
Austin; Howard Whitworth, Er
nest Lee, Ralph Holligan and
Garland Hefner, all of Bastrop.
Survivors include three bro-
ther-, J. II. Whitworth, Ban-
quette; W. S. Whitworth and
C. A. Whitworth, Bastrop; one
sister, Mrs. Frank Lee, Bastrop.
Mr. Whitworth was born at
Granburg, Hood County, on A
pril :;0. 1878, the son of Jas j
per N. Whitworth and Mitia
Osborn Whitworth. He came to
Ba-trop County in 1 s'.'O, and by I
oc upation was a farmer.
Mr. Whitworth was well
! known throughout the county.
! Cp until the time of hi^ death,
he had made his home with a
brother, C. A. Whitworth.
