On Friday evening, January

Duran and Mr. Bob Boatright
exchanged rings and wedding
vows in an imprrsj'ivp candle
light service with the Rev. O.
W. Sumerlin performing the
ceremony.
The vows win said before an
altar banked with floor has nets
of white stock and greenery, a-
jrainst a backirrouiui of burning
white taper- in tali seven-bran
ched candelabra.
Tapers in three branched can-
delabra lighted a'8l<> from
the church entrance to the altar,
and each pew was marked with
■white satin bow- tied around
.sprigs <>f greenery.
Miss Diane Davis presided at
the bride's book, registering the
guests a- they entered the
church.
Organist v\a- Mrs. 0. W. Sum-
erlin, and Miss Nancy Biggs
sang the traditional wedding so-
lo, "Becau-t". and the beautiful
"Lord's Prayer".
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mis. Uvlos- Duran. and
a spring graduate of Bastrop
High School. She va.- until re-
cently employed by Harrison-
Wilson and Pearson in Austin,
in the real estate department.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Boatright, now residing in Port '
Stockton, Texas, the bridegroom
is also a graduate of Bastrop
High School and attended South-

Immediately following the
wedding, a reception was held
in the church parlor, where the
bride and bridegroom and their
parents received the guest.-.
Baskets of w: ite stock were
used in decoration, with the
bride's table the center of in-
terest. The table was laid with
a white net cloth with satin ur
derskirt, and centered with an
arrangement of white stock.
Buring white taper- in crystal
candelabra wi re on either ,-ide
of the arrangement. The beau-
tiful three tiered wedding cake
topped with pink confection
wedding bells graced one end of
the table and a crystal punch
service was placet! at the oth-
er end. Mis- La Nelle Knox,
Mis.- Karen Schaefer and Mrs.
Marvin Osborn served.
