ially in view of the unusual

dence this year.

tistics for the first three

of rabie- diagnosed this year

year. So fat this year, the state
health laboratory has examined
the head- of 1,411 animals sus-
pected of rabies, with 219 of
them positive. There were loo
case.- diagnosed in the first three
months of 1950. In march, tests
were made on '501 heads, com-
pared to 444 made in February.

Band Boosters
Drive Scheduled
For Monday
Oi Monday. May 2, the Bas-
trop Hand and Hand Booster-
will make their second annual
drive for funds to be used to re-
tire the band uniform debt. Uni-
formed bandsmen will call at ail
lesidences in I'a.-trop to collect
contributions between (i:00 and
7 no Monday evening. In case
anyone who 1- missed would

giving their contribution- to Mr-

treasurer.
The band uniform- were pui
chafed two years ago, at which
time the band booster.- borrowed
$4,000.00. To date the Hand
Boosters have payed back all

by the end of this school year.
