Peach Cinnamon Sundae

peeled
1 cup sugar
1 cup watei
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons red cinnamon can-
di< -
•J tablespoons cornstarch
Heat sugar. vtiter and lemon
juice to boiiing. Reduce flame to
simmer, add peach halves and !
cook 10 ii inut. ■ Remove peach-
es and place or individual -erv- j

cinnamon candies to syrup and

dissolve. Add ornstarch, con-
tinue to cook until thickened,
Cool syrup until lukewarm. To
-erve, put a -• oop of vanilla ice-
cream in each peach half and
top with warm syrup.
Peach Coconut Pie
1 cups sliced fresh peaches
2 •'! cup sugai
1 tea-poor, lemon juice
1 1-2 tablespoons quick cooking !
tapioca
1-3 cup firmly packed brown,
sugai
14 cup flour
3 tablespoons ...ft butter
:i-4 cup f aked coconut
1 unbaked pastry shell
Place peaches, sugar, lemon |
juice and tapioca in a large bowl
and mix well. Mix brown -sitrai.
flour and butter with a pa-try
blender or fork until crumbly.
Stir in coconut. Sprinkle 1-3 of
the crumb mixture over bottom
of pie .-hell, fill with peach mix
ture and top with remaining
crumbs. Bake in preheated u'a-
oven at 42"> degree F for Xi-lft
minute . Serve warm.

big 1961 "Exposition of Music." j
The State Fair is endeavoring |
to make the 1961 exposition a i
truly musical sixteen lays and j
a memorable experience for the!
bands who are able to take part.
Bands that attend the Fait !
will have concert;' scheduled for \
them on the days they are pie-
sent, and will be invited to j
march in the .specla> ular illum-
inated "Torchlight Parade of i
Music" which will take place on
the fairground- each ening at

All members of the bands
participating in thr "Exposition
