the pictun sque front parlor
with the hostes- were the hon-
oree and her mother, Mrs. Jack
Claiborne, the bridegroom-
elect's mother, Mrs. Tom C.
Hendrix, and the honoree's
grandmothers. Mrs. T. H. Kim-
brough and Mrs. C. F. Clai-
borne.
The bride-elect's chosen col-
ors of pink and white were ear-
ned out in the floral arrange-
ments used throughout the re-
ception rooms. Pink gladioli
arranged in a silver urn were
used on the piano in the front
parlor, with similar arrange-
ment- placed in tlit- second par-
lor where guests mingled and
chatted.
The dinind room table wa.-
covered with a 55-year old
hand made Norman d v lace
cloth, and wa:- laid with all -li-
ver appointment.-. The center-
piece for the table was made
of delicate pir.k carnation.- in-
terspersed with pouf> of pir.k
tulle and arranged in a round
silver tray. An arrangement
of white roses was used on a
china cabinet.

my Claiborne. Mrs. Knox Kim-
brough and Mrs. Joe Shirley of
Austin alternated in serving
the guests refreshments of cof-
fee. sliced cold cantaloupe, and
other fresh fruits, eggs scram-
bled with bacon, bite-size
doughnut- and tiny buttered
biscuits.
