NEW METHODIST WOMENS
SOCIETY IS FORMED
The TaStiraeeting-of- the histori-
cal organization of the Womans
Missionary Society of the South-
ern Methodist church was held by
the local society on Tuesday af-
ternoon at the church Business of
the-Southern Methodist organiza-
tion gives way to the Union of the
Southern and Northern Methodist
churches and the Episcopal church
-fA charter meeting of the new or
ganization will be held on Tues-
day afternoon of next week in the
home of Mrs. Harry Sherwood at
3:00 o'clock.
, All womon of the church are in-
vited to attend and enroll as char-
ter members. The new program
will be explained by Mrs. Clyde
Sherwood.
The new year" of the organiza-
tion will begin with September 1.
instead of January as has been
the custom in the old WMS. Offi-
cers for the new organization will-
be elected on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

after spending the summer here
