Spur Rotary Club very gra-
ciously entertained the McAdoo
community with a delicious bar-
becue supper which was served
in the gymnasium Thursday ev-
ening. A larger representation of
the dub. accompanied the group
joined in the feast and visited
with friends.
Vacation Bible School at the
Baptist Church was well attend-
ed the past week. The average
attendance was TO. Closing pro-
gram was held Sunday night
with many visitors present.
Bible School is in progress " at
the Methodist Church this week
Classes are held 8:30-11 a.m.
"Worship" is the title of the st«
dy. 40 persons were In atten
dance Monday. Closing exercises
are .scheduled for Saturday nite.

weekend with L. E. Bass. Mrs.

Lubbock Saturday with Mrs. N.
H. Edwards who has been a pa-
tient in a hospital there for 27

at the Methodist Church Bro
Salley held a service of recogni
tion of officials. This included
stewards, trustees, leaders and
otfice bearers. He admonished
each one to carry out the sacred
trust and pray and hope for a
bigger year this year for the glo-
ry of God and his church, We
are happy to have Bro. Salley
returned to serve our church for
another year. May this be the
happiest yet for he and his
family.
The annual stockholders meet

tives in Oklahoma. A cousin,

panied them home for a visit.

Sunday with her mother, Mrs.
Lena Potts. They were visitors
at the Methodist Church for Sun

for a physical check with her
