Let us go into the house of the Lord.
Mrs. Tena Miller Waiters was born in the Sweethome Com-
munity inGuadalupe County to Mr. and Mrs Lizzie Miller,on
May 9,1906. She was one of a family of' twelve
Mrs.Waiters was educated in the Sweet Home Community and
later became a Cosmotologist.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Pink Waiters, Jr. in
the year 1921. To this union,three children were born,Garrett
Waiters, who preceded her in death,Mr. Elgin Waiters, and Mrs.
Ernestine Green both of San Antonio, Texas.She reared one
great grandchild, Mrs. Bridgette Kelley.
Mrs. Waiters Professed a hope in Christ at an early age at the
Sweet Home Baptist Church. In 1929, she united with the Mt.
Pleasant Baptist Church under the pastorship of Rev.Ilufus
Wilson. In 1934 the Antioch Baptist was organized and she was
one of the chartered members where) she remained faithful un-
til she was strickened with illness three months ago.
HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE HER HUSBAND, Mr. Pink
Waiters,Jr., one son, one daughter, four grand children, Mr.
Eugene Lee Thomas,Mr. John L. Thomas. Mrs. Mary Elizabeth
Dawson, Mrs.Horenna Ann Smith, 13 great grandchildren, 3
great, great grandchildren,two brothers, Mr. Howard Miller of
Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Louis Miller of Seguin, Texas; one sister,
Mrs. Irene Anthony of San Anton, Texas,and many
relatives and friends.
