J he Obituar
Like a ship thats left its morning
and sailed bravely out to sea,
Some one dear has sailed away in calm serenity
But there is a promise of greater joy
than earth could have in store.
For God has planned a richer life
Beyond the unseen shore.
David Leon was born to the late Mr, David Leon
Wallace, Sr. and Mrs. Robbie Lee Wallace, August
26, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas. He attended the
Grant, Dunbar, and Wheatly High School and St.
Phillips College. He professed a hope in Christ
and was baptized by the Late Rev. J.A.Kemple. He
attended Sunday School and Church. During later
years he was a regular attendant of the Men BibLe
Class.
He worked at the Southwest Research and Edu-
cation Foundation for over 20 years. He retired
as supervisor.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Miss Erma
Jean Jolley, March 27, 1959 to this union two
children were born; a daughter, Rosena, and son,
David W.
He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted wife,
Mrs. Erma Jean Wallace, two sons, David W. and
David Gregory Leon Wallace; a daughter, Rosena
Wallace; one granddaughter, Patricia Wallace;one
sister, Mrs. Eugenia W. Brown;one brother,Robert
Wallace of Kansas City, Missouri, uncles,Aunties,
neices, nephews, and many other relatives and
friends.
