xxxxxxxxxxxxxx November 23, 1977 Mrs. Anne J« Higgins 2230 N. Alona Street Santa Ana, California 92706 Dear Mrs. Higginss I am writing this letter at Mr. Herrera's request as you will see by his signature below. William (Bill) Edwards came in to our offices about two months ago while Mr. Herrera and his associate were in Court. He talked with me for some time. He stated at that time that he had been in Colorado on a camping trip and while he was out hiking someone took everything that belonged to him, clothes, money, tent, etc. He said that he had been hitchhiking backeto Florida where he was employed (I do not recall what he said his field was), He also gave rae a list of his accomplishments and so when Mr. Herrera returned I asked him if there might be any type of work "° help Mr. Edwards out as he seemed to be in such a bad situation Even thoughtMr. Edwards did say that he had several degrees, Mr. Herrera did not feel that his qualifications would be of any use in a law office. We gave him $2.00 as he said he had not eaten anything for several days. That is all we can tell you of Mr. Edwards. We had never seen him before nor have we seen him since. I hope this information will be of some help to youe Yours truly, JACKIE MAGURA Secretary JOHN J. HEBRERA Attorney at Law
