MOTOR VEHICLE REGULATIONS
Because control of vehicles on campus is necessary for the effi-
cient operation of the College, the following regulations have been
formulated to insure the safety and convenience of the members of the
College community and guests. Permission to drive or park a motor
vehicle on campus is to be considered a privilege and not a right to
which one is entitled by reason of enrollment in or employment by the
College.
All state and McMurry College traffic and parking regulations
governing the use of motor vehicles must be complied with on all parts
of the campus throughout all hours of the day or night, by all motorists.
It is the responsibility of the students and staff to know and observe
these regulations.
McMurry College assumes no responsibility for the care and/or pro-
tection of any vehicle or its contents at any time that it is operated
or parked on the McMurry College campus. The College reserves the
right to impound any vehicle which is parked in a manner dangerous to
vehicular or pedestrian traffic or which is otherwise in violation of
college parking regulations.
VEHICLE REGISTRATION PERMITS
1. Any student, faculty or staff member of McMurry College who operates
or parks a motor vehicle on campus must obtain a vehicle registra-
tion permit at registration or from the Student Services Office in
Old Main. Those who have a Dyess A.F.B. registration sticker on
their vehicle do not need to purchase a McMurry permit, but they
must fill out a registration form and indicate their Dyess sticker
number.
2. A non-refundable registration fee of $5.00 for the academic year
beginning with the Fall Semester is charged for permits. A charge
of $2.50 will be made for each additional motor vehicle registered.
Students starting college in the spring semester will pay a fee of
$2:50.
3. A vehicle is properly registered if the appropriate registration
permit (decal) has been permanently affixed to the lower left (drivers)
side of the rear window.
4. Anyone who is going to temporally operate a vehicle on campus must
obtain a temporary permit from the Student Services Office. These
permits are good for two (2) weeks and are to be placed on the left
side of the back window of the vehicle.
