"work.,,
Our Pastor Rev. Hensell and fam-
ily, who live at Friona, are visiting

N. M. Bartley Leaves.
Mr. N. M. Bartley, who has for
the last four and one half years been
connected with the Western National
Bank, has accepted the position of
Cashier of the Bank of Marshfield of
Marshfield, Mo. This was Mr.
Bartley's old home : his parents and
his wife's parents live there, so that
the people of Marshfield know and
appreciate this worthy family. The
Western National Bank regrets to
lose a faithful and efficient clerk:
the people of Hereford regret to
lose in both in Mr. and Mrs. Bart-
good neighbors and good citizens.
The Methodist Church of Hereford
will lose two good, faithful christian
members. In the seven years the
Western National Bank has been
running, no man has ever been dis-
charged, but all who left have gone
feeling friendly towards the bank,
and with the best wishes of the bank
following them. The first cashier,
Mr. Fuller, left to become president
of a National Bank in El Centro,
California; the next cashier, Mr.
Davis, left to engage in the real es-
tate business in San Antonio; Mr.
Wilson left to become cashier of Mr.
Fuller's bank, and now Mr. Bartley
becomes cashier of another bank, so
the Western National Bank has been
quite a training school for cashiers
and bank presidents. It has parted
with each man with regret, but with
as much good will and affection as
any college faculty feels for the
worthy and hopeful young men who
receive its diplomas.
Steam Laundry Adds Improvements
W. D. Keliehor, proprietor of the
Hereford Steam Laundry, is to add
some good improvements to his plant.
Accordingly he has closed a contract
with the Electrict Light and Power
Company to furnish both steam and
electricity. A heavy line wiil be
run from the elctric plant to the
laundry plant. Several motors will
be installed to run the different
machines in the laundry. Likewise
a steam conduit will be laid, so that
the laundry will be supplied with
steam at any hour of the day. Hence
it will be proper to call the laundry
an eletric-steam laundry.
