Couldn't Walk!
"I used to be troubled with a weakness peculiar to
women,H writes Mrs. Anna Jones, of Kenny, 11L "For
nearly a year, I could not walk, without holding my sides.
I tried several different doctors, but 1 grew worse. Finally,
our druggist advised Cardui for my complaint. 1 was so
tfata, my weight was 115. Now, I weigh 163, and 1 am
never sick. I ride horseback as good as ever. I am in
fine health at 53 years."

CHILDREN'S
KIDNEYS
No Hereford Mother
Should Neglect the
Little One's
Health.
Oftentimes weak kidneys causa
great annoyance and embarrassment
to children. Inability to control the
kidney secretions, at night or while
at play, is attributed to carelessness
an too frequently the child is punish*
ed. Parents having children troubl-
ed with kidney weaknets would do
well to treat the kidneys with a tested
and proven kidney remedy. If there
is pain in the back, discolored urine,
irregular urination, headaches, dizzy
spells or a tired, worn-out feeling,
begin giving Doan's Kidnev Pills at
once. This remedy has been used
in kidney troubles for over 50 years
—it has cured and has been recom-
mended by thousands. Proof in a
Hereford citizen's statement.
Mrs. Clarence Smith, 611 E.
Third St.> Hereford, Texas, says:
"We have used Doan's Kidney Pills
in our family, getting this remedy at
Woodburn & Son's Drug Store.
About two months ago I gave Doan's
Kidney Pills to my child who was
suffering from kidney weakness and
they proved so satisfactory that I
heartily recommend them. Doan's
Kidney Pills made a permanent cure
in this case after other remedies had
been taken to no avail. This pre-
paration is a safe and reliable one."
For sale by all dealers. Price 50
cents. Foster-Milburn Co., Buffalo,
New York, sole agents for the United
States.
Remember the name—Doan's—
and take no other.
Contract Let For Texico-Coleman
Cut Off.
June 11.—The contract for the
completion of the Texico-Coleman
Cut-off has been awarded to W. H.
Denisonof Cushman, Ark., and work
has been started on this last stretch
of road 96 miles in length which will
be completed this summer. In the
completion of this line from Lubbock
to this point, gives the Santa Fe a
direct line from the Gulf of Mexico
to California which will be the most
direct line between these two points.
This is a project which has been
long talked of, and the people of the
south plains certainly nave a right
to be iubilant over the good news.
With the building of this the last
gap of the gre?t trans-continental
route, and the R. I. T. F. &S. north
and south, who will have the nerve
to say that Farwell-Texico is not
permanently on the map.—State-Line

Clovis Defeats Hereford.
Messrs. ."Beany" Stonehill and
"Jack" Hull of Clovis, N. M., were
the successful contestants in a game
of tennis with Messrs. Woodburn
and Dameron of Hereford Tuesday
afternoon. Mr. Woodburn, in speak-
ing of the game, said : "Mr. Hull
was there with vicious drives and
ferocious serving and did sensational
work during tpe entire game, while
Mr. Stonehill is a very conservative
player, steady and to be depended cn
at all times." The score was 6-4,
9-7, 4-6 and 3-6.
