TEXAS DIXIE
Texas is the land for me,
On winter mornings the wind blows free,
Away, boys, away, away down south in Texas
In Texas land where I was born
Early one fine summer morn.
Away, boys, away, away down south in Texas
Texas is the land for cotton
Piney hills and sandy bottom
Away, boys, away, away down south in Texas.
Here the finest corn we raise,
With oats, wheat, barley, peas and maize.
Away, boys, away, away down south in Texas
Chorus:
In the happy land of Texas, Hurrah! Hurrah!
In Texas land we'll take our stand
To live or die in Texas. Hurrah! Hurrah!33.
