is no private claim and that I have resided on the same since Dec-
ember last and that I purchased the improvements from Levi H.
Holland who settled and has cultivated the same since Sept. A. D.
1852 and that I have never received a grant or donation of land in
this state, So help me God.

By virtue of an act of the Legislature of the State of Texas
passed and approved February 7th A. D. 1853 supplementary to anact
granting to settlers on the public domain pre-emption privileges I
have surveyed the following tract of land for Sarah Collins to wit:
Beginning at the S.W. corn, of M.W. Bumstead's Survey of 464
acres of land by virtue of Certificate No. 121 issued by the Board
of Land Commissioners of Jefferson County, Texas.
Thence West 1344 vas. a stake, a pine 10 ins. dia. brs. N. 71
E. 11 vas. and a pine 6 ins. dia. S. 55 E. 13 2/5.
Thence N. 1344 vas. a stake, a pine 6 ins. dia. brs. S. 60
W. 3 vas. & a pine 12 ins. dia. bras. S. 65 E. 10 2/5 vas.
Thence East 1344 vas. a stake, a white oak 14 in. dia. brs.
E. 11 vas. & a magnolia 18 ins. dia. brs. 61 W. 7 4/5 vas.
Thence South to the place of beginning containing 320 acres of
land. Surveyed June 14th A. D. 1854. A. H. Reading Dist. Surveyor,
Jeff Dist. All bearings marked X thus. S. Collins W. J. Collins44.
