JUNIOR NEWS
The junior class selected their
senior rings Tuesday. I know ev-
ery class that has ever graduat-
ed thought their rings were the
prettiest, but it is really true
this time. Those who want
stones in their rings selected ru-
bies. The rings have a Chief's
head on each side and were or-
dered in the standard size and
the heavy size. * *
We also have decided on our
play to be presented later in the
year. The name of the play is,
"Glamour Boy". -
In assembly Monday nj,ne jun-
ior boys were awarded medals
for winning the intramural bas-
ketball tournament.
We are very proud of one of
our class mates, Darwyn Fowler.
His picture was in the Lubbock
paper Tuesday for winning the
first place in dry land cotton
farming. His prize was one hun-
dred dollars.
EIGHTH GRADE GOSSIP
Say, Nelda Smith, what's this
I hear about you being with
Kay Don Spurgin? Huhj . . . .
Hey, Glenna Mayfield, Is it
right that you said you are Kay
Don Spurgin's slave? Wow! The
lucky guy! . . . Well, Mary Lit-
tlefield, what are you going to
do with Jerral Doyal's football
letter now that you have it? .
Jo Foust, what are you doing
with Ronald Sandel's football
letter? Isn't his coat enough? I
would think it should be!
- Hey, Annell Warren, when are
you going to hook Tommy An-
derson? What are you doing; us-
ing that "slow but sure" pro-
cess? ... . Nancy Thedford, what
is wrong with you? Did Gene El-
lis put such a charm on your
life that you "couldn't" stand to
go with anyone else! Well then,
tor pity stjtko, get ,"hi.ml'. hack! «.
Betsy "Thedford and Frankie
Cossey are still going steady.
