Many prominent Pythians of various
places witnessed the event. Friday
night the G. U. of O. F. celebrated
their annual "stunt" at the K. of
P. hall. Mrs. R. E. Guy performed
a friendly and neighborly act on
pleased the large audience. The en
tertainment drew a large and ap-
preciative attendance which made
known its appreciation by hearty ap-
plause arid frequent encores. We
were all pleased to have Mr. Cle-
ment Scott a graduate of the high
school home to spend the holidays.
Mr. Scott is at present a medical
student of the State University of
Iowa and he is making good. While
here Mr. Scott a soloist of com-
mendable repute sang to an ap-
preciative audience at the Alhambra
theatre.
On the 20th Inst. the high school
entertained for a period of thirty
minutes Madames Monroe Walker
of this city and Mrs. Thomas E
Taylor of Portsmouth Ohio. They
expressed themselves as being highly
pleased with the musical numbers
rendered by the school.

was also a measuring contest. Mrs.

the largest and Mrs. E. A. Crider
for the smallest. Mrs. Woolridge
from Denlson is visiting her cousin.
