at the night service. Each of the
two converts were young men. Rev.
Harrison was unSnlmoualy elected
as pastor of the New Mount Ollle
Baptist church on Saturday Dec.
31 1922. He Is now a theologue in
the theological department of Bishop
College. Rev. Harris is a man of
no mean ability. The entertainment
at the West Union Baptist church
was successfully carried out. The
M. T. Pleasant C. M. E. Juvenile
Society has elected Mrs. Azllee Snow

their ten months ' old baby which
recently gained 4 1-2 pounds within
three weeks. The baby is wen de
veloped in every respect. It has

about to round his men intp fight-
ing shape and ia now calling on the
manager for something to do in the
way of contests. The following prac-
tice games will be played within
the next 10 or 12 days: Hempstead
Navasota Houston high' and Hous-
ton college. The secondary schedule
will Include Tlllotson College Aus-
tin High and San Antonio High.
The conference schedule will prob
ably take ln only the following:

Wiley University. All of the games
will be played during January and
February In order to give way to
the intensive base ball practice dur
ing the early part of March. The
base ball coach has already begun
to call on the committee for minor
