Tuesday morning of last week

bit heavier north of us.
Mrs. Delma Norm, Bob and
Sandra of Big Spring, left Wed-
nesday afternoon after several
days visit with the Thornhills,
for a trip to Fort Worth and Dal
las. Mrs Homer Miller of Cro-
ton was to accompany them.
Saturday afternoon Mr. ana
Mrs T. E. Thornhill were callers
in the M. R. Givens home.
M. R. Givens and boys, Pres-
ton and Mickey, were among the
many attending the opening of
Ratheal's White Auto Store in
Crosbyton Saturday We hope

that Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dean Ra
theal will have much success in
their new business.

This was a surprise party for the
Whitchurch's, in their lovely
country home near Crosbyton.
We wish for them many more
happy anniversaries.
We would like to express our
deepest sympathy to Mrs Callie
Winegar of Roaring Springs, in
the death of her father, who
passed away last Saturday even
ing in a Matador hospital Mrs.
Winegar is the Star Route mail
carrier from Roaring Springs to
Crosbyton.
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Starrett
visited Wednesday morning of
last week with his mother. Mrs.
H. R. Starrett in Lubbock Then
they and a granddaughter. Miss
Rira Kay Waldrip, drove on over
to Big Spring to spend the July
4 holiday with another daughter
and family, the V. L. Jacksons.
Thursday morning Mr and Mrs
Earl Waldrip and the other two
children, Mr and Mrs. Bill Arm-
strong and children, Mr. and
Mrs. John Reed and son, all of
Lubbock, drove down to Big
Spring. Some went fishinp while
others just visited and had a
good time together.

sed last week in telling who at-
tended the Covington funeral

Mrs J C Jopiin and Mr. and
Mrs. Ray Morgan of Amarlllo
stayed over with their brother
and family after the funeral un-
til Wednesday afternoon, then
the Morgans spent Wednesday
night in the Jopiin home and
visited Thursday morning with
Mr and Mrs W P Ratheal in
Crosbyton before returning to
their home in Amarillo
Sunday afternoon Mr and Mrs.
I C. Jopiin were visitors in the
home of Mr and Mrs. B. C Har
din.

gain They have been ill this
week.
Lena Givens anu Rubie Wha-
len visited awhile Tuesday af-
ternoon with Mrs. D. D. Thorn-
hill and Gary and Mrs. Delma
Norris and Sandra. They also
spent some time under the peach
trees as there were ripe peaches
there.
Saw a strange car at the Wha
lens Friday and another Sunday
but as usual the telephone will
not ring through to the McAdoo
line this morning
Ladies, don't forget this Thurs-
day, July 11, is club day, and
we will meet with Mrs. Clyde
Starrett.
