Softball Toams
Re-divided Into
Three New Clubs
In a reshuffling of softball
organization to make room for
new players, the two original
clubs were broken into three new
teams this week.
Competition will still be on
Tuesday nights. Clubs and team
captains are now divided as fol-
lows:
Team No. 1: Captain Leeky
Griffin, Gene Wiggins, David
Edwards. Jackie Hammersley,
Euclid Mayes, Jimmy Doss, Billy
Edwards, Forrest Griffin, Buster
Brown and Joe Hargrove.
Team No. 2: Captain Bill Boyd,
Gene Hay, Don Spurgin, Kelton
Pinkston, Noble Hunsueker, Dale
Mill, Marshall Berry, Jerry Jones,
James Seigler, Duane McClure,
Mike Hancock.
Team No. 3: Captain Bill Pow-
ell. Joe Chi Ids, Eddie Boone,
John Pinkston, Donald Hancock,
Wayne Flemins, Carol Sexton,
James Holman, Johnny Lowe,
Ronnie Traylor, Leon McElroy.
"We still need some players,"
says Leeky Griffin "If anybody
is interested in playing, they
should contact one of the team
captains."

L. E. Treat Named
District Chairman
of Board for LCC
L. E. TREAT
L. E. Treat, Crosbyton school
principal, has been named Dis-
trict Chairman of the Board of
Development of Lubbock Chris-
tion College, Lubbock, Texas. He
will direct the "Bright Future
Campaign" for the college In
Crosby, Dickens, and King Coun
ties.
Treat serves as an elder and as
song leader for the Crosbyton
Church of Christ.
The LCC Board of Trustees
met with college president Dr. F.
W. Mattox at the beginning of
the summer term to create the
new board and approve its ap-
pointments and duties for the
next three years.
Dr. Mattox stated, "With the
June 17 ruling of the U. S. Su-
preme Court concerning Bible
reading and the Lord's prayer in
public schools, we need to work
even harder to preserve a heal-
thy dual system of education in
