calling in the interest of traffic
safety.
Too many children were being
hit by cars, she sakl, and she
thought they could start out by
putting a traffic light at a busy
intersection.
The crossing at Main Avenue
and Cypress Street, she said, was
too dangerous. Could the police
do something about it?
Captain Fitch answered po-
litely, "Madam," he said, "that
crossing is dangerous. You'll be
interested to know that in the
near future a traffic signbl light
will be placed there."
Now, he said, matter-of-factly,
who is making the request,
please?
Then it was that the youngs-

Evangelist Meyer
Attracts Crowds
"The Story of Candaee's Treas-
urer" will he the theme of evan-
gelist Jack Meyer this evening
in the Church of Christ revival.
Services begin at 8 o'clock.
Reports from the leaders of
this congregation are to the ef-
fect the audic-nces are increasing
in size from night to night. The
two giant exhaust fans combin-
ed with the washed air system
make the temperature comfort-
able.
.Mr. Meyer spoke last evening
on the subject of the Gospel of
Christ. His claim being that
merely to say there are three
tacts 01 the Gospel is to ignore
other vital facts that are very
much a part of the power Of God
unto salvation.
Coing into detail the speaker
urged that the eternal being the
Holy Spirit conception, the Vir-
gin birth, the sinless life, the
glorious ascension, and the fact
of .lesus now at the right hand of
God are all facts of the gospel
of Christ.
Special subjects for Friday
and Saturday over KXOX at 1:1a
were announced. This meeting
will close with the evening Ser-
vice Sunday niyht.
