Future Homemakers
Choose Ola Moore
"Girl Of The Month"
Ola Moore has been chosen as
"Girl of the Month" by members
of the Future Homemakers of
America for November.
Ola ip active in club work, serv-
ing as vice-president this year. She
was also vice-president of the
Homemaking class last year. She
participated on the installation
program and is on the hay ride
committee.
Ola is also on the committee for
activities for F. H. A. week, No-
vember 1 through 6, and was on
the emblym service at Rotan dur-
ing the district meeting. She also
did work on the F. H. A. Year-
book.
The local Future Homemakers
of America choose one girl each
month on the basis of her F. H. A.
club work.
Miss Louise Bollinger and Mrs
J. Frank Davies are F. H. A. co-
sponsors. •
Local Shrine Members
To Attend Ceremonial
Several Sweetwater members of
the Suez Shrine Temple of San An-
gelo will attend the fall ceremo-
nial, to be held Friday and Satur-
day in Midland, the first time the
event will lie held there.
From 25 to 30 Sweetwater mem-
bers of the Temple will attend, in-
cluding Henry Rogers, Chief Rab-
ban, and who is due to be Poten-
tate on Jan. 1.
The drum and bugle corps, made
up of Abilene and Sweetwater
members, will also be present.

Cub Scout Head
Tom Porter was selected as Cub-
master of Pack 44, Sweetwater
Cub Scouts, at the monthly pack
meeting held Tuesday night.
Sterling Fudge, Route 3, Sweet-
water was chosen as assistant
Cubmaster. Making the selections
was the pack committee, compos-
ed of George Leonard, Walter
Jones and Mondel Rogers.
A webolos den, led by Paul Zan-
owiak, den dad, was organized to
assist and train Cub Scout 10 and
one-half yearn old who have at-
tained the Lion rank for Boy Scout
work.
Dens 2 and 4 proved entertain-
ment with songs on Cub Scout-
made musical instruments. Mr.
Paul Zanowiak and Mrs. Tom Por-
ter were den mothers.
Den 3, led by Mrs. Waylon
Cleckler, displayed a tank made
by the den in honor of Armistice
Day and den 1, led by Mrs. Walter
Jones, presented a musical num-
ber using instruments made by
members.
The pack will meet on the third
Tuesday of each month at 7:30
p. m. at Eastridge School.
Murderers Begin
Life Sentences
OKLAHOMA CITY, Nov. 11—UP
—Two murderers from Dallas
were to be transferred to the state
prison at McAlester Thursday to
begin life sentences for their parts
in the death of an Oklahoma City
detective.
They were Raymond C. Price,
23, and James E. Skinner, 21, who
pleaded guilty to murdering detec-
tive Bennie Cravatt last summer
as they and Herbie F. Fairris Jr. j
tried to rob a supermarket. They
were sentenced to two concurrent
life terms, for murder and at-
tempted armed robbery.
Fairris, also of Dallas, was i
found guilty of murder by a jury, [
which sentenced him to the elec-!
trie chair.
