MY MISTAKE! PARDON!
As has often been said, we all
make mistakes now and then.
Last week, your editor failed to
mention that Evelyn Vandiver and
Warren Shipp have prominent
parts in "And Mary Did", the
Dramatic Club Play to be pre-
sented Friday night of next week.

PAULEE PRCISE INJURED
Paulee Precise, who's home is
near Golden, happened to a pain-
ful accident Friday evening of last
week on the highway two miles
West of Mineola. She attempted
to cross the road between two
cars and was struck by a large
truck, the edge of the truck strik-
ing the right side of her body,
breaking one rib, fracturing a-
nother, causing several brusies as
a result of a had fali on the pave-
ment.
After being X-rayed and treat-
ed for her injuries, she was car-
ried to her home where she is
rapidly recovering.
Paulee is a member of the seni-
or class, the dramatic club, cent-
er on the girls basket ball team,
and leader of the girls' pep squad.
Her many friends join the Yellow
Jacket in wishing her a speedy
recovery.

Robert Behrman is associating
with a case of the measles at his
home. Hence his absence from
school.
Truman Shirey has withdrawn
from school and transferred to
Bellefonte.

This program is given annually
as a welcome to the old home
town for the many j ex-es who re-
turn for the holidays. Those who
have attended these programs be-
fore know that they are well
worth seeing.

BAND BOX SUPPER SUCCESS
The box supper at the high
school last Friday night for the
benefit of the band was a real
success from a financial stand-
point. The sum realized from
the sale of boxes and the cake
amounted to $65.00, which will go
to help defray the cost of band
uniforms.
The combined Alba and Mineola
bands, together with the high
school choral club furnished the
program. Miss Sims of Alba was
voted the prettiest girl and was
'awarded the big angel food cake
baked and contributed by Mrs.
Miles Caudle.
