Tongue river route as confirmatory of his
assertion that a route was not valuable
solely in proportion to the amount ol re-

over that route hear stamps to the value
of more than $1110 yet the balance sheets
ol the office on the route did net show sale
of si imps to that amount. Thai tended to
prove the mutual dependency of the routes.
When John Horsey went out to
establish that route he was forced
to accept a military escort vet that same

incident to the opening of the New York

the Interior has referred to the court of
claims for adjudication the claim of the
Chickasaw Indians pertsinimr to disputed
disbursements made by the United Ktatec
from ti e funds of said Indians and ol cer-
tain alleged wrongful payments made from
trust funds of the orphan and incompetent
(.'liicka-uas. The secretary of the interior
also referred to the court the claims of the
loyal Creek Indians tor losses alleged to

curred here Sunday evening caused great
destruction of lifo and property. It struck
southwest of CornerClly damaging more
