Mr. 1 1. .1. Nichols who is author-
ity on the history of Snyder says
that building was one of the land
niarlcH of Snyder. The house was
huilt in 1 SJ-CI and originally stood
on the site of the ruins of the Sny-
der Mercantile building and it
was in this house that Mr. Hatter-
son ami Mrs. Webb were married.
The house was later moved furth-
er out on Scarborough street and
then moved to the rear of the lot
to give place to the residence in
which Dr. Howell and family now
