Ff rally It-union.
In the course of human events
there naturally comes In the his-
tory of every family a day of sep-
aration. One by one Its members go
out Into the world some to th'eeast
some to the west north and south
until the old homestead falls Into
other hands perhaps and nothing re-
mains of It to Its former occupant
but the memory.
It is a sad day which brings thoae
separations but It is a very glad day
Indeed when they can reunite and
for a time live over the Joys of for-
mer years.
On Wednesday July 3rd Mr. W.
L. Stiles entertained a home coming
or rather a family gathering at his
home eight miles southeast from Sny
der.
There are only three members of
his immediate family which now re-
main; himself and a Bister .Mrs. X.
E. Lemly of Forney Texas and a
brother L. It. Stiles of latan. -This
however did not by any means
comprise the crowd. Children gran J
children and other relatives were
there till the kindred numbered a-
bout 43 besides about 21 guests of
honor. ' '.'
Space will not permit us to pub-
lish all names but it will be suffi-
cient to say that fifteen families par-
ticipated either In part or In whole.
They came from Forney latan
Colorado Coahoma Sterling City
J'lalns Tost City and Snyder.
Everything had been most con-
veniently arranged and the place tvrs
an iiieal one for such a gathering.
The forenoon was spent Ir. forc-
ing new acquaintances and renew-
ing old ones and when the noon
hour caiue everyone was soon con-
vinced that special provision had
been made for that hour.
A larce grape arbor which pro-
vided a dense shade sheltered the
crowd while It did its whole duty
toward the many nood thincs that
are ciil' iilated to satisfy :h appe-
tite. No one seemed to have any fear of
an over indulgence along that line
for Ir Lindley of Colorado whs there
with the Physic nnd Urn. Werner
stood ready a a spiritual advisor.
There is me n that niigh: le said
but let us hasteu to conclude: It is
enough to say that it was a great
day and the means of hrtiigititr those
present together intu closer relation-
ship and friendship: this one fea-
ture makes the occasi.iii second in
greatners and goodness. o:ly to that
