fun and business was good.
Through all the hum and eiclte-
ment and pleasure could be noticed
that those who were disappointed In
the results as they were flashed up-
on the areen keenly felt their disap
pointment. We sincerely wish that
veryone could have been elected.
.Now that It ts all over we should
this morning go to our respective

A slow rain began falling about 3
o'clock this morning. This will In a
measure offset the feeling of despon-

borne heavily on those of us who k

New York World:
Th President s Meilran policy
eonrernlng which there hsve been
many nitustvinxs has triumphed. The
dictator has resigned A constitution-
al government Is to be ertabllshed.
There will eventually be peace at
home and peace with the Tnlted
States.
When General (tuerta. on February
IK. 1913 telegraphed to President
Taft "I hare overthrown this goTern-
ment and the forces are with me" he
had no thought of the man who In
two weeks was to be preildent of the
Tnlted States or of the forces that
he would "array again it the Meilran
usurpation.
1 One week after Mr Wllnon's Inau-

at thl avowal and not a few rltisens

Wilson marshalled the forces of liber

It has taken some hard fighting In
Meileo to overthrow the man who ov-
erthrew the government but moral
courage of a higher order has been
needed to enable the administration
at Waahlngton to hold true to prin

roads are best and we should demon
strate that our roads are best.
Besides good roads the people
here should see to It that Rnyder
offers prices and Inducements the
best for everything the farmers have
to sell and also to provide comfort
for the families when they come In
to trade.
Courtesy and fair dealing will be
appreciated by the people and every-
body should be ready every day to
show a spirit of friendship and com-
munity Interest In everybody that
comes to Snyder.
