I Hev. Mr. Francis win a native of
Kentucky. He cume from a family
of Kentucky pioneers and spent al-
most half of his life In the MueKinss
state. Ills family lived In Allen coun
ty where Uev. Mr. Francis was bom.
He came to Texas In 1883. was
ordained to the llaptlst ministry and
preached the Gospel in Texas for 3G
yeurs before surrendering his stew-
ardship. During his earlier life he
was an earnest church worker and-
alwnys took an active Interest In the
advancement of the Christian re-
ligion. Kev. Mr. Francis Is survived by
four daughters. Mrs. (I. A. Autrey
of Wolfe City; Mrs. A. W. McDon-
ald and Mrs. James llerry both of
Houston; Mrs. K. P. Low man of San
Marcos; two sons. Messrs K. O. of
Utah and T. B. Francis of Humble.
