thit the union labor people had
put out a circular calling on union
men to vote against Mr. Dalley.
Neff charged at Coleman that Dalley

that some of Bailey's supporters
paid for having it published In the
Houston Chronicle.
Neff and Bailey both spoke Wed-

at the same hotel. Neff heard nail-

Bailey didn't stay to hear Neff. He

of which was strikingly revealed In
an action for divorce tried In court at

His lordship said he thought It
proved that considering their previ-
ously distant relations there was a
remarkable Intimacy hnween defen-
der and eodefender. The codefender
kissed the defender boih when they
were atone and In ber hou- before
her children. This In Itself would
have hen conclusive hiwl It not been
or one circumstance. The defender
and the codefender were both members
f the United Free church. There was
evidence that could not be disregarded
that there ss a certain practice of
kissing between communicant though
In deference prolmbly to Hritit-h ideas
the salutation seemed to piins only be-

It had been the practice for only a
mere handful of the adherent of the
church to participate In communion al-
though the communion M-niMrii was a
far more solemn action In the high-
lands than In the lowland.
Since the spilt In the Free church
however. In !! the sections which
adhered to the Tnlted Free church had
tended to become much more like their
brethren In the soul and thus it man-
ifested ltelf among other ways In
oiany younger persona becoming com-
municants. This cu-ed an awkward
com pi lea Hon as regarded the kissing
ciiMorn. It might be all very well for
elderly saints to greet one anoiher
with a chaste oriental salute but it
wss a different matter when it came to
young married omen being promiscu-
ously kissed by cucunl male acquaint-
ances who happened to be fellow com-
uninlcants. This extension of the cm-
torn was therefore disapproved of by

ilreds of cases In which this lias proved
true. It Is logical to ask If we cannot
rejuvenate the aged make them grew
young again Just as we made the pre-
maturely aged Invalid become yomf.
And through recent experiments that
can now be answered In the affirma-
tive. I speak from personal experience.
"It Is a fact that there Is Dot a ata-
fie one of the objective manlfestat)es
f senility those that give the appear-
ance of old age which cannot be re-
moved suppressed or hidden or at
least a youthful substitute found far
It.
"To restore Uie spirit and buoyancy
of youth Is more difficult This re-
quires the will not only the desire but
the determination and the energy to be
young to feel young and look yoong.
Most old persotis have the desire scne
bave the determination but few have
the energy to carry out the measures
necessary for rejuvenation. In many
cases the old man or woman who would
like to do so Is afraid of ridicule of
being called giddy and foolish If be or
rtie suddenly appeared In youthful at-
tire and adorned with the artifices of
the beauty parlor. Vet nnder some
special stimulus usually the desire to
attract some particular Individual of
the opposite sex both men and women
bave gone beyond the limit of pro-
priety to look younger than they ire
and feel younger than they look. And
If they went about It the right way
they usual'y succeeded.
"I tried It a couple of years ago. not
to attract any particular Individual
but to see If It could be doDe and how
It felt to grow young.
"In one yeor the change In my ap-
pearance and actions and feelings was
so complete that persons who had not
wen me since the earlier day. when I
was aged did not recogulze me."

In "The Shadow of Rosalie
Hyrnes" which cornea to tbe Cozy
Theater Tuesday there are two
leading) roles and Elaine Hammer-
stein playa them both. She Is
twins.
In on she is sweet and lovable
tbe incarnation of perfect woman-
hood; In the other she Is a selfish.
unscrupulous actress who does not
hesitate to use her sister In any way
that will be advantageous to her
own advancement.
At one time the latter almost gets
her sister involved in murder; at
another she almont divorces her
sister's husband. Those are Just
two of the developments In an un-
usual plot which Is charterized by
a strong element of suspense effec-
tually maintained until the very end
of the picture.
Miss Hammersteln It Is said
avails herself of an opportunity to
do some fine acting and her beauty
was never used to more advantage
than In this her latest picture. '
Owing to the condition of the

It is understood that an effort will
be made to get him to come to Sny
