court house in Snyder within the
Snyder Independent school district
on the 3rd day of June. A. D. 1521
to determine whether the Board of
Trustees of the Snyder Independent
School District shall have the power
to annually levy and collect a tax
upon all taxable property In saJd dls-
trlct of ONE HUNDRED CENTS on
the $100.00 valuation of taxable
property in said district instead o$
FIFTY CENTS on the $100.00 valu-
ation of taxable property in said dis-
trlct a they are now authorized to
do and thereby Increase &aid tax rate
from FIFTY CENTS on the $100.00
valuation of all taxable property in
said DiHtrlct to ONE HUNDRED
CENTS on the $100.00 valuation of
all taxable property In said district
for the purpose of support and main-
tenance purchasing constructing
repairing and equipping school build

Notice Is hereby given that an elec-
tion wijl be held at the court house
in Snyder within the Snyder Inde-
pendent school district on the third
day of June A. D. 1921 to deter-
mine whether Bonds of said Snyder
Independent School District shall is-
sue to the amount of $25000.00 pay-
able forty years after date of same
and bearing interest ut the rate of 5
per cent per annum from their date
until paid for the purpose of con-
structing and equipping public school
building of brick material within said
district and whether there shall vbo
annually leved and collected on all
the taxable property of said district
for the current year and annually
thereafter while said bonds or any
of them are outstanding a tax suf-
ficient to pay the current interest on
said bonds and provide a Kinking
fund sufficient to pay the principal
at maturity. P. M. Bolin Is hereby ap-
pointed manager of said election
which Bl.all be held as nearly as may
be possible in conformity with gen-
eral election laws of the state.
No person shall vote at said elec-
tion unless he be a qualified voter
under lie roust it nt Ion and laws of
this state and a tax payer In said
Snyder Independent School district.
Those in favor of the issuance of
the bonds and the levying of the tax
shall write or print on their ballots.

Judge K. M. l.andis of the Federal
Court will resign his place about
June 1st. is the report of the dally
papers. His resignation has been ex-
pected for some time It is said be-
cause of the attacks made on him in
congress.
The Judge will devote all his tim
to his position as high base ball com-
tnisioner. Judge l.andis has been on the
bench a long ime and has been on
of the Court's most picturesque characters.
